What should I do before I watch the movie?

Begin by watching my spoiler-free video introduction to the movie. It’s at the top of the section of this month.

Download the discussion questions. Read through the “Before You Watch” Questions

What should I do after I watch the movie?

It’s up to you how much prep you want to do before the discussion session. There’s no expectation that you spend time on prep, but many members have told me that they really valued this part of the journey. It helped them get more out of the discussion.

Download the discussion questions and read through the “After you watch” section.

Pick ONE (1) question that you’d like to bring to the group. You’ll have more time to do this again during the discussion session.

I don’t have time to rewatch the movie. Is that OK?

Yes, absolutely. If you watched the film a while before the discussion, you may want to just flip through it to remind yourself of the details.

You can also rewatch sections or individual scenes. This is something I do whenever I prepare a work of criticism.
