Lily Gladstone and Frank Mosley met while working on Freeland together, and have since collaborated again on The Boardinghouse Reach, which Lily described as an “animated time-traveling Western” and compared to Buckaroo Bonzai.

Who is Lily Gladstone?
Lily Gladstone has been acting on stage since she was a child in Seattle. Raised on the Blackfeet Reservation in north-western Montana until she was 11 before moving to the Seattle suburbs, she has “tribal affiliations that include Kainai, Amskapi Piikani and Nimii’puu First Nations.” After graduating from the University of Montana with a B.F.A. in Acting, she has worked in film and theatre across the country, including at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Her breakout role was as The Rancher in Certain Women (2016) for which she won the LA Film Critics Association and Boston Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress. She was alos nominted for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Gotham Independent film Award for Breakthrough Actor. Since then, she has appeared in Buster’s Mal Heart, Walking Out, Freeland, and First Cow.

Who is Frank Mosley?
Based in California, Frank Mosley is an actor and filmmaker from Texas. He’s an alumnus of the 2015 Berlinale Talents, a fellow of the 2017 NYFF Artist Academy, and a graduate of Black Factory Cinema’s 2016 Workshop for Auteurs, led by the late Abbas Kiarostami in San Antonio de los Banos, Cuba. He has appeared in Shane Carruth’s Upstream Color, Aaron Schimberg’s Chained for Liffe, Dustin Guy Defa’s Person to Person, and Jim Cummings’s Thunder Road. As a director, his films and video installations have been exhibited around the world, including at Slamdance Film Festival, Champs-Elysees Film Festival, Dallas Museum of Art, and Anthology Film Archives. In summer 2018, The Spectacle Theater in Brooklyn, NYC presented his first retrospective, A Fortnight With Frank Mosley.
